When you give to the conference, you become part of what we call “Team 49”.
- Alaska Conference General Fund
These donations to the general fund are unrestricted dollars that make it possible for the Alaska Conference to conduct its day-to-day activities within the five ministry priorities. Administrative and operating expenses fall under this category as well.
- Pastoral Support and Care
It is a high value that our pastors are cared for and supported not only through the work of our conference office from day-to-day, but also when particular needs arise. Give to this fund as a way of offering support to our pastors related to moving expenses when taking a new call in our rural villages, family-care, crisis intervention, therapeutic referrals, consulting services, event scholarships, access to continuing education opportunities, vocational and personal assessments, as well as those things that simply cannot be planned for.
- Parsonage Building Projects
Parsonages in our rural communities are in need of attention. Due to the remote nature of these villages, it is quite costly for necessary work to be completed whether a full renovation or regular maintenance is needed.
- Staff and Pastor Support
It is a reality that the budget of our conference office and some of our churches are not adequate to provide a full living wage for our staff and pastors as well as keep the lights on. Your financial gifts to this fund make it possible for staff members of the Alaska Conference and pastors to serve God in these places without enough resources.
Please note that there is a 1.50% fee to all online donations that is paid out of your giving amount for the credit card service. If you choose to send an “e-check” only $0.45 of your
donation will go toward administrative costs (and we like that)!
For example, the credit card processing charge for a gift of $50 would be $0.75,
BUT for a gift of $500 it would $7.50…
significantly more than the flat charge of $0.45 for e-check donations or $0 for an old fashioned check!

MEMORIAL AND HONORARIUM GIFTS
A gift made in memory or in honor of a loved one is a thoughtful way to recognize an individual’s life and their service to God’s mission around the world. To make an honorary gift, send a letter indicating the purpose of your gift as well as the name and address of the honoree. For memorial gifts, if a memorial fund has not already been established, you should note on your check the name of the honoree and include the name and address of his/her next of kin so that we can properly notify their family of the gift.
Please make checks out to the Alaska Conference and include on the memo line the area(s) you would like to support. You can send all checks to:
PO Box 200446
Anchorage, AK 99520
Many companies encourage employees, their families and retirees to make charitable contributions by matching their philanthropic support. Matching gifts can double, or even triple, your impact for the mission and ministry of the AC. Consult your HR office to find out if your employer has a matching gift program and what steps are necessary to enroll in that program.
