The 2024 Pastor & Leader Retreat will be held once again at Camp Maranatha in Big Lake, Alaska. This is an open invitation for all Alaska Conference ministry partners (meaning credentialed pastors, lay leaders, CYAK, ACC, KICY and all ministry personnel) to gather for encouragement, sharing, spiritual refreshment and fun, beginning with dinner on Tuesday, October 8 at 5:00 and wrapping up late morning on Friday. Worship will be held morning and evening each day and afternoons have large time segments for resting, recreation, and excursions–for what you need to recharge. Dr. Max Lee will be the retreat speaker.

Dr. Max Lee is The Paul W. Brandel Chair of Biblical Studies at Northpark Theological Seminary. He teaches with a passion to equip people for a lifetime of pastoral ministry through theological education. Ordained as a Baptist minister, Lee has served as a pastor, preacher, college staff member, youth leader, and short-term missionary to Japan. His primary research area is the Apostle Paul in his Greco-Roman philosophical, cultural, and literary environment. He actively preaches and teaches for several local churches in the Chicago area. He recently recorded a video series for Seminary Now on the book of Colossians. His messages will be taken from the book of Colossians and are entitled: “**Colossians Blitz: Seeing God and Renewing Our Call in the Midst of Desolation.”** Max has also published a commentary on the book of Revelation and will offer an afternoon workshop around preaching from Revelation.
