Church & Ministry Video Praise/Prayer reports
The Executive Board made a decision that the Alaska Conference 2020 annual meeting will be held virtually through a Zoom Video/Audio Meeting on May 2, 1:00-3:00 p.m. Please note that the date is one day later than previously planned. The agenda will be abbreviated. Only registered delegates will be able to participate in the meeting and will be sent information on how to log in after April 17. We will host ZOOM tutorial “practice” calls to help everyone learn how to use the platform prior to the official meeting. There is a video link at the close of this letter for some information about ZOOM.
We understand that some delegates previously registered may not want to participate in a virtual call, and that others, who previously had not been able to attend will be able to participate now. As per the bylaws, each Conference congregation is entitled to two delegates plus a pastoral delegate, while each of our ministry organizations are allowed one.
Delegate credential forms that were previously submitted for 2020 do not need to be resubmitted unless there is a change. Delegate credential forms that include new or substitutions for the May 2 meeting are due to the Conference office by April 17. An updated delegate form is attached.
As a pastor or church chair, please communicate with delegates to see if they still want to attend. If you wish to add yourself, change delegates, or add additional delegates, please do so with the attached form.
In order to participate as a delegate the person needs one of the following:
- High Speed Internet connection with computer or cell phone to access the ZOOM link that will be sent ahead of time (this will allow participants to see video content and other video participants). During the call participants may pause video broadcasting of their own image as needed throughout the call.
- A telephone (cell or land line) to call in for audio participation only
The annual meeting booklet will be produced to include all written reports submitted and will be emailed and/or mailed to delegates prior to the meeting. Reports not received by April 15 will not be included in the book.

REGARDING REGISTRATION FEES
Though not required, we are still receiving a $25 delegate donation per delegate that will be given to support Bethel Evangelical Covenant Church’s homeless ministry that is ongoing during this COVID-19 pandemic. Click HERE to make a payment. You can also find this link on the website.
Some attendees and delegates had already paid the $25 registration fee. These fees will be paid directly to the Bethel Church unless a refund is requested. If you would like a refund, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
